Words from the Scoutmaster

As Scoutmaster, my role is to oversee the Scouting Program and insure that our Scouts get the best experience possible. That is done by overseeing the activities of the Troop and providing direct leadership to the PLC. I also provide a communications channel between the Boy Scouts and their programs and the adult leadership of the troop. Through active participation and individual communications with your scout, I continuously evaluate the programs and health of the unit and the Scouting experience we are providing. I bring a dozen years of Scouting experience to the unit. I am an avid outdoorsman with extensive experience camping, backpacking, canoeing, mountaineering and rock-climbing. My early motivation for involvement with the Boy Scout movement was to impart that knowledge to boys. I have learned that Scouting is so much more. It is my life.

I hope you will encourage your young man to join our unit, but more I hope you encourage him to stay in scouting.
